Enter data into a custom form (add records)

There are four methods to enter data into a form :

  1. Manually through LogAlto one record at a time
  2. Through a designated web page (outside of LogAlto)
  3. In bulk with an Excel file import
  4. Through the mobile app. 

This article will cover the first two methods. In all cases, form have to be published in order to enter data. 


Entering data manually in LogAlto

Access the custom from you wish to enter data into.

You can then click on the Add record button. If you have changed the label of your record, it may be called differently, the button will reflect the title that you have given it.

A window will pop up allowing you to enter data in the fields you’ve configured for your form. Once done be sure to click on “Done” to save the record.

A confirmation message will show appear confirming the record has been added.


Entering data through a designated web page

To send a form to people without access to LogAlto, you can create a designated page for them to access the form.

In the top menu, click on Share.

A window will appear with sharing options. Click on Create the link.

A URL will appear. You can click on the notepad icon or simply select and copy-paste the url to those you want to share the form.

Whomever has the link can now submit a record.
