Implementation rate of the activity based on the weighting of sub-activities

When sub-activities are created (in the activity panel), the weighting is auto-generated (by default, it will be the length in days) but can be modified.

The only purpose of weighting sub-activities is to be able to automatically calculate the activity's implementation rate based on the completion of its sub-activities.

The rate of the activity will be 100 * (weight of completed sub-activities / total weight of all sub-activities)

Example:

In this example, the total weight of all sub-activities is 68 (14+2+33+1+13+5).

If the first three sub-activities are completed, then the implementation rate of the activity will be 100 * (49/68) = 72%.

Add milestones to your sub-activities

You can set up milestones for your sub-activities.

To do so: When creating/editing a sub-activity, click the flag icon.

A window will pop up allowing you to set up milestones.

The "Completion" field allow to use of milestones to calculate the progress toward the completion of the activity. So ideally, the implementation rate of the activity should be 100% when all milestones are achieved.

You can see the sub-activity's milestones from the activity dashboard by clicking the "+" button next to its name.

From there, you can mark a milestone as achieved as you would normally do.

Note that the completion rate is calculated by the % of the milestone x the subjectivity's weight. So in this example, 25% of a sub-activity weighted at 14 out of 28 = 12.5% activity completion rate (13% rounded up).

Enable sub-activities in your LogAlto platform

This feature may not have been enabled on your LogAlto platform.

The sub-activities are disabled on you platform if you don't have the "Sub-activities" option in the "Implementation measure" drop-down list (in the Activity creation panel)

If that is the case and you would like to enable it, please contact us at  support@logalto.com so we can verify if your organization has access to this feature and get your administrator to discuss enabling it.
