Activities in Documents

This feature is only available for  LogAlto+ plans

If you are currently using another plan and wish to get access to Premium features, please get in touch with us at  support@logalto.com

In Logalto, Documents allow users to collect data in a predetermined format and workflow. This can include narrative text, indicator values, activity milestones, and custom forms.

Documents are always associated with a project and for a specific period. If you want more info on document frequencies, please review the article.

Activities in document

In a document, under the Activities tab, you will get a list of activities with the following information:

  • Code and name of the activity
  • The target of activity for the document period, if any (and depending on the tracking option used)
  • Dropdown list to select milestones, if any
  • Completion rate
  • A dropdown list of status
  • Notes field

The flow between activities in the Document module and Project module

The values imported in the Document module and updated in the Projects module follow these events :

1
The document is created as a  Draft. Activities, sub-activities and milestones statuses and values prior to end of the reported period are imported from the activity sub-module.

2

Activity statuses and values are updated by users in the document. Values of activities in the associated Project remain the same.

3
Milestones gets  Approved. Activities, sub-activities, milestones statuses, and values for the reported period are updated in the Project for that specific reporting period.

4
Document gets  Approved. Activities, sub-activities, milestones statuses, and values for the reported period are updated in the Project for that specific reporting period.

5
Document goes from Approved to Draft status. Activities, sub-activities, milestones statuses, and values for the reported period are updated in the Document from what is contained in Project module for the specific reporting period.

Note: If your workflow has multiple approval steps, the final approval is the one that will update the information to your projects.
