Create a global logframe

Creating a global logframe

It is possible to have a single global logframe for the entire organization or to have multiple global logframes (for example by country or programs). A global logframe can share it's outcomes and indicators with project logframes so that the latter's data can be aggregated.

In this article you will learn:

  1. How to create your global logframe
  2. How to create corporate results and indicators

If you wish to have project logframes linked to a global logframe, it is important to enable this setting through the initial configuration of the system or through the settings menu.

How to create your global logframe

To create a global logframe, click on the “Logframe” module from the left menu.

A side panel will appear on the right side of your screen. Select the type of logframe (Global) and for which organizational unit the logframe is being created. You can only create one logframe per organizational unit. You can also customize the labels of your logframe levels

Once saved, you will be redirected to a screen where you will be able to add the different goals, outcomes, outputs and indicators for your logframe.

How to create corporate results and indicators

Global logframe have the possibility of creating Corporate goals, outcomes, outputs, indicators that are displayed in the global logframe AND can be added in all project logframes. Corporate global indicators  should be indicators that you wish to track at the project level but aggregate data and visualize it at the global level.

Corporate items can be:

  • Mandatory: in this case, corporate impacts, outcomes, outputs or indicators cannot be removed from the project logframes
  • Optional: in this case, corporate impacts, outcomes, outputs or indicators can be removed from the project logframes

The data that is entered into global indicators at the project level can then be aggregated to analyze results throughout the different projects.
