2023 September News - v27.9
Even though the last news update was a while ago, this does not mean we were not crunching out feature updates and improvements. LogAlto is now on version 27.9! Here is a quick look at some of the more notable ones.
New features
Duplicate projects
It is now possible to copy the template of a project, which allows you to create a duplicate of the existing project. To use this feature, you need to be in the List view of the projects or inside the project itself and click on the More + Duplicate options. A side panel will allow you to change the information and select which fields you want to copy.
This feature is still in development. You will soon be allowed to duplicate the project with the logframe and activities. Stay tuned!
More control over linked forms
You have long been able to link custom forms in LogAlto, creating your database of related information. Now, when consulting records of a form linked to others, you have more control to view and manage its related records without ever having to leave the page.
Link indicators together
Seeking to make LogAlto's logframes flexible for all your project and programming needs, we released last year a feature making it possible to calculate the value of indicators of an indicator from the sum or average values of other indicators within the same log frame.
This means you can, for example, now have multiple project indicators automatically contribute their values to corporate indicators. This will also take into account disaggregation as long as they match.
More options when calculating indicators from datasets
Of course, you might have already known LogAlto allowed you to link your indicators to datasets held in custom forms as long as you calculated a single value per row. Whether your data is in a long or wide layout, LogAlto will work for you and get that data to your indicator.
Export tables to CSV
You can now export your standard tables to CSV and Excel format. This is done through a user-friendly interface providing extra options to include list abbreviations and labels.
This will save you time downloading your data, especially for larger files.
Dashboard customization: buttons!
In addition to drag-and-dropping visuals in your dashboard, you can now use nifty buttons to move, collapse or expand your visual reports in the dashboard.
You can head to this article for more information on arranging your dashboards to your liking.
